Yo guys, what's good.
Az here once again, back with Hero reviews. This time we take a look at the Chaos Heroes
As a quick note, this is intended to be for beginners of the game. I'm sure you veterans already know all of this.
Fated
Jinai
In terms of PVP, Jinai doesn't really have a place. While her passive clearly suits PVP, the Dragon Blood Meta punishes Damage over time too much. For PVE she is a goddess. Permanent Mana for the back row, 1 Mana AoE dots and 5 Mana big hitter Dots. She will slow down enemies, so your strategies can work better.
Rera
Rera can be a serious damage Dealer, however her Dot and AoE without provided security from either Annie or similar will just hurt her in PVP. For PVE she can be an option, however Nature has a lot of strong heroes she would have to compete with.
First Guardian FC
Second Gold FC in the First Guardian series and she certainly didn't disappoint.
As all guardians, she gains the Dragon Blood and Dragon scales, making her a force to be reckoned with. Additional speed, more dodge, higher multipliers without the dot on S1, and a Burst S2 make her a solid choice for PVE and PVP.
Valentina
Same as Jinai, Valentina suffers from the current Meta. Her dependency on Shufraken doesn't really increase her viability either. For Dragons she definitely is the strongest Dot option, however for all other content you want Dots in, FC Reedmarie beats her easily.
Jinn
An assassin in the purest sense. Fast, Low Cost skills, built in turn reset. If there wasn't another assassin with the same Element, he might have been the Number 1 pick here. However his dependency on a unit which won't be used in PVP hurts him here.
Banga Family FC
Heart strike is a strong ability unique to the Banga Family. With Jinn's speed and low Mana cost abilities, he can easily cut through the less tanky First Guardians. His lower multipliers make fights against FC Anastasia or FC Zeon a bit tougher, due to them taking longer.
Baraka
Easily takes the crown in this category. Fast assassin, low Mana cost and high burst. Being that fast, he is guaranteed to get 1 Mana. With Assassins like him, you always have to be aware of him jumping out and killing off low health targets. In addition to that, when paired with Rachel, he can provide your back row with Mana and snowball the fight into your favor
Awakening FC
His Black FC gives him so much needed utility. Once his awakening gets activated, he heals by 25% of his attack and if he is below 30, becomes invincible for 4 turn while also gaining more speed.
First Guardian FC
First Blue FC we had and also a First Guardian. The Blue FC gives stat bonuses to Heroes from the same area as Baraka. This is account wide, regardless if you use the FC or not.
Baileysh
If there wasn't Wilkes he might be used more often. He is basically an upgraded version of Liffy. Can be used to break a lot of Guardian stones in Dragons.
First Guardian FC
First Guardian FCs makes any Hero viable in some form. While you might have not considered him for Dragons or Dungeons before, the FC definitely opens doors for him in that regard.
Legendary
Deva
If you aren't blessed with Baraka or Jinn, she is your next best option for Machine. Due to her having Dragon Hunter Blessing, she is one of the top picks for the element Free days.
Forgotten Memory FC The FC improved her S2 by a significant amount. If you have it, use it.
Reedmarie
Definitely usable in Dragons on Frost day to break stones quickly, in case you don't have Valentina.
Forgotten Memory FC The only AoE dot in Frost and that on 1 Mana. Check out the article about her.
Sharpei
Another Assassin, another Dragon Hunter Blessing. She, Deva and Kirina are basically your most wanted when the Dragon is element-less. Outside of Dragons she is also a good Damage Dealer, especially in an otherwise low damage Dark Element roster.
Kirina
We love 840% Multipliers. Unlike Astarte, she doesn't have Burst, but she is another Dragon Hunter.
Being of the Frost Element allows her to gain to 5 Mana really easy in Dragons. Even for PVP she can be used, if you are lacking on Damage for Tag.
Metron
Metron is surprisingly good. While Reflect might usually be a gimmick, on the light/dark days it makes early braking relatively easy. In addition he is a Mana battery. If paired with Iris, you can create a chain reaction to accelerate Mana gain.
Bayer
Unsurprisingly average. High Mana cost on Machine is generally a tough sell. Especially on AoE Dot Heroes you want to use in Dungeons, you want to have the lowest Mana cost possible. Thumbs down!
Zarienne
You need her for Machine day in Monomos. She is a shelter investigator so she got that for her. Eventually you will have to build her, but until that day comes, her guns won't be seen in action.
Risis
Nature probably has the strongest roster of Dot's. Unfortunately she is only single target.
Monica
She is a direct replacement for Reedmarie. If you don't have the Reedmarie FC, she is at the same level as regular Reedmarie. Depending if you need single Target or AoE, you choose between those two.
Bongkoos
Upgraded version of Risis. Same single Mana single target dot, but a 3 Mana AoE on top.
Ivan
Suffers from the same as Bayer. Too high Mana cost on an Element having troubles generating Mana.
Corgi
He is fast and has dots. Very useful for Special Dungeons. Check out my Fire day guide, to seem him paired with FC Annie, to beat Lunar Trade with ease.
Kinberra
Nature is the one Element not in need for more single target hitters. #benched
Heowon
The AoE dotter you have to work with. Unfortunately he is forced on us, when his Dot's don't help us at all.
Nero
Same as Kinberra. His purpose will forever stay a mystery.
Vinity
And another of those Heroes that are forced on us in Special Dungeons. At least his S2 hits decently hard with a turn reset.
Yao
With the recent Chance to Dragons and First Guardians she shot up in viability. Her Attack Buff is amazing and she hits hard.
Yorm
Best dotter on Machine Day. Annoying when you summon her but at some point you just go with it, YORM!
And there you have it.
Quick and easy, hopefully insightful.
A lot of the assassins, especially in Nature are overshadowed by Astarte or other Attack type heroes.
Usually you would expect lower Mana cost, but somehow a lot of them have 5 Mana cost abilities without the punchy multipliers to warrant the cost.
Let me know in the comments, what you think about those heroes.
