Yo guys, what's good.
Az here, and today we take a closer look at Iris.
Iris is a Rare Light Hero of the Support type. She deals magical Damage.
Skills
Passive: Cleanse 2, removing debuffs and dots from all allies and gaining 1 Mana.
She additionally gets 1 Mana if her target's Health is below 20% when triggered
S1: Grants a barrier of 11% of Iris' health to all Allies and removes all status effects.
All allies will gain 1 Mana
S2: Deals 350% damage to a single target.
Both her abilities cost 3 Mana.
She wears all Legendary pieces with a single Fated Piece, to give her another Guardian Stone. Eventually you want to equip her with 6 Light stones for the additional health, to increase her barrier.
I'm usually using the free Fate Core on her to boost her health, and you should use it.
Because I want to use her with Garff in PVP and can't level Garff higher, I needed to reduce her HP.
Check the link to compare Garff's and Iris' stats, so you can see why I needed to take off the fate core.
You want to focus on Block, Attack Speed and Block Defense Rate.
I will take her into some PVP as usual.
The team used in the Video is composed of Iris, Annie, Astarte, Garff and FC Vallar.
Strengths
Probably the best thing of all is that you get her right when the game starts.
You can learn how to use her from the beginning and she definitely won't disappoint later on.
Her S1 can be used as a surplus heal, even if you are at full life, which makes your team just a tad stronger.
Paired with the Mana gain she can provide without condition, you can set up awesome combinations.
And I think this is where she excels. Being a great support, which benefits you in various situations.
Weaknesses
Due to her speed, she won't be able to give you Mana straight away, which makes you want to be a little bit more defensive.
If you go into fights without revives, you have to be careful though.
Her being light let's her not gain Mana from the Element.
Unlike other elements, she gains permanent Mana while all Allies are alive. If they die, you lose the benefit.
Her only Mana gain comes from her passive and being attacked.
If the enemy doesn't put on debuffs, fights can get more difficult.
PVP might not be her best place, but it's also far from bad. You need to play a little bit around with your teams.
PVE however is where she shines.
Especially since she is needed in some of the Dungeons. Luckily for us, today is that day.
PVE
We will take her into The Blessing Sanctum Special Difficulty.
The Team is Garff, Iris, Nermash, Adams and the mandatory Kasoke.
Quick note:
She is actually the first Hero I used Unleash Potential on.
Check the image for her current Enhancements.
I still need to get a load of Solar Seals to power up her abilities, but I wanted to raise her Speed and HP. In hindsight, I could have gone without the HP for now, because I needed her HP to be lower than Garffs anyways.
Back to the Special Difficulty.
How I use her, is by using her Shield constantly, providing my dark Heroes with Mana.
You might think it's unfair, that I brought Garff, however this is mainly to speed up the run a little.
Usually I take Firis as she immobilize the entire back row, so please don't be too upset with me.
I can pretty much spam my dark units abilities since her and the attacks are enough to keep me around 2-3 Mana at all times.
In case you would use Firis, you would have less access to that, but I played rather sloppy and could have optimized it way better.
My units would not have the same Mana gain, but with efficient use, you wouldn't have any issues here.
Conclusion
All in all, she is a great support unit strengthening your team and providing even units with slower Mana gain a good way of using their abilities.
I think she will be great, if not best, when paired with some dark units, because they are notoriously bad at exactly that.
While you might be tempted to 6 star her, don't. The only notable benefit would be the HP gain and rather than 6 staring her, enhance her and use unleash potential. 2 Holy Waters are far more costly the 300 Xes you need to invest. And her being a North von Frosty Hero also makes it fairly simple to boost her stats, since that's the place most of us farm anyway.
She gets a solid recommendation in my books.
