Yo guys,
Az here, once again. Today we want to talk about the new Hero Growth system planned for the next patch in August.
I made a video, which goes more over my opinions so you can check that out here if you want.
How does it work?
With the new growth system you will be able to further augment your heroes when they are blessed to 6 star.
First the basics.
Blessing
In order to bless your Hero to 6 start you need a Hero at 5 star and maximum level, as well as 5 times enhanced.
Then you can bless it by using your Holy Water of the Universe and some other smaller resources.
6 star enhance
To further enhance your 6 Star hero, you will need 6 star Spirits. These are fairly rare drops from the Spirit Sanctum.
Transcend
In order to Transcend your Hero, you need a copy of the hero and a bunch of Gold.
For the 5th time it will cost 110.000.
The base line for the new growth system is as follows.
6 star level 90
5 times enhanced
at least 1 times transcended
Each transcendence will allow you to "Attribute Enhance" your hero.
At +1 you can "Attribute enhance" once and at +5 you can do it 5 times.
Each time you do an "Attribute Enhance" your hero will be able to break an additional Guardian stone, up to +5 Guardian stones.
Attribute Enhance
So here we come into the interesting part.
Each time you want to do an "Attribute Enhancement" it will cost you special resources.
The resources necessary will be:
Gold (unknown amount)
Fate Core "Mu"
Five-Colored Fate Stone
Heroic Tokens
The costs will be staggered and there will be a chance of failure.
Here a table with the rates and bonuses:
As you can see from this, the success rate goes down, similarly to Fate Core Enhancement.
What does this mean for us?
In simple terms it means it will take an immense amount of resources.
This also means that we won't see fully "Attribute Enhanced" teams in the future.
We might see a couple units here and there, but surely not units like Rachel, Bathory or Garff.
However, this could mean a change on how we generally approach PVP.
We could see an upraise in Legendary and maybe even Rare Heroes.
Depending on how people will set up their Guardian stones we might see no change at all.
Will it be worth it?
For PVE 100%. This can change the whole PVE outlook in one go. Is you have a unit that can AoE with either 0 or 1 Mana, you could break the entire Stage in one go, when your unit is enhanced to +1, which won't be that difficult.
For PVP it highly depends on how the meta starts out.
If everybody simply goes Rainbow and we loose our set effects, then this whole system will lose it's appeal.
We have to ask ourselves what we value more. Our Set Bonuses or not being broken.
Double set bonuses might be a thing of the past, once we get a couple units to enhance +3.
However we could also stick with one set and have 3 different stones.
In case of Dragon Blood, we could see some gimmick cases with full First Guardian teams using green stones.
If you thought your FC Rera could ever AoE, you would be in a trap.
Here it would depend which target Wrath chooses after the attacker is dead. Anyway, let's continue.
Currently most Meta teams are consist of these heroes:
Bathory (Frost)
Uloom (Machine) / Garff (Light)
FC Anastasia (Frost) / FC Ramge (Dark)
FC Annie
FC Rera (Nature) / Rudley (Nature) / Rachel (Fire) / FC Baraka (Machine)
The most optimal case will be a 5 Element team, but usually it will be 4 or even 3 different Elements. In that case we wouldn't have to worry too much about being broken more, than we already do.
As mentioned before, these teams could see a shift, where characters like the Summer Festa Heroes become more prevalent due to passive break mechanics.
Especially Degas or Bernadette or Yao could make a huge appearance.
0 Mana breakers like Colin, Iden, Weiler could come into play in the beginning, where people still haven't re-rolled their Guardian stones.
So what should I do?
Play the game! Build teams that you always dreamed of. Shake up the meta yourself.
For the moment, the majority of players don't even have full Fated Gear on their Characters.
Getting Characters to 90 takes times and resources and most of us haven't even finished that.
PVP has an new chance of being exciting.
What does the future hold?
I predict in 2 or 3 months will be the time this really starts becoming more prevalent.
Until then, farm your gear, think about strategies and build new Heroes.
The game will have more changes coming with the patch, such as Act 11, new heroes and maybe new challenges.
We might also see some more re-balances and we are definitely in for a new Core Reverse soon.
