FC Luke

Yo guys, what's good? Az here, once again and today we are checking out FC Luke.

Let's get into it.

Skills

Passive:

Block 2 - Provokes all enemies for 10 turns, if an ally's health drops below 30%. Luke will gain a Heal over time, based on 20% of his current Attack for 5 turns.

When Luke's health drops below 20% when triggered, he gains 1 Mana.

Heart Strike - This passive is unique to the Banga Family FCs. It has 3 stages and is triggered by various conditions.

When the battle begins, the highest health Enemy will be marked with Heart Strike Level 1.

Whenever an enemy with the Mark is damaged by a Hero with Heart Strike, the level of the Mark increases.

This will grant Luke with 1 Mana per Mark Level at the beginning of a turn.

This Mark can't be removed and all effects stack.

If the marked target dies, the next enemy with the highest health will be marked with Heart Strike Level 1.

These are different Levels:

Level 1: Decreases the target's Attack speed by 20.

Level 2: Decreases the target's Defense by 1000.

Level 3: Deals 200% damage to all targets upon activation

It will Blind them and deal 2000 damage every turn.

S1:

Deals 187% Damage to a single target and provokes them for 4 turns.

S2:

Luke will increase his health by 54% for 9 turns and share health with all allies for 18 turns.

Additionally FC Luke will increase all allies' Defense by 23% of his Defense for 9 turns.

Gear and Stats

FC Luke is an interesting Hero. He has the 4th highest Defense in the Game.

Because one of his Skills is directly responsible for a Buff, you should increase the bottom row as much as you can.

Since he gains a heal over time based on his Attack, you want to keep it high, but it doesn't need to be your focus.

Levels will increase his HP for his share health, so you should increase those as much as possible.

My FC Luke still has Legendary Gear at 50 for the bottom row as well as his weapon and 30 for the remaining slots.

PVP

When the First guardians were more prevalent, anybody from the Banga Family FCs provided a great asset.

The decrease in Defense means that their Shield is fairly weak, especially because it's now based on current Defense.

For singles, they aren't as much used as they were, but if you are lacking an FC Iris, FC Luke could be a valuable asset for your team.

Tag is where we see more Dragon Blood and thus FC Luke becomes incredibly valuable.

If you have FC Iris, he is definitely a front runner for your B-Team, or without FC Iris can even make the A-Team.

He is a great tank and provokes can come in clutch.

Any hero in your team can benefit from his Defense Buff.

Share health allows your squishies to stay alive just a little bit longer.

Be careful though with your guardian stones. Any of the damage can destroy FC Luke's guardian stones as well if they are the right element.

PVE

On fire day he is not a required unit, but can definitely be used.

Luke is required in Solar Trade Special Dungeons on Saturdays/Sundays, however he can be a really great asset anywhere else as well.

FC Luke can help you tank out the more annoying stages and due to his Defense Buff and share health, provides your team with a solid mitigation layer.

Heart Strike is for the most part a blessing since you can reduce the enemy's Defense and once at Level 3 also damage the opponents and break guardian stones.

The Blind can also help to mitigate some of the damage the bosses deal.

Especially on Bosses, the decreased Defense can help you to speed up your runs.

However, the damage over time will trigger counters, which could increase the damage you take in.

As mentioned in the PVP section, the Share health can cause your Luke to be broken as well.

The bosses ignore the element and will break a guardian stone every time they hit. This can give you a lot of trouble, so you need to pay attention to it.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths

Heart Strike is definitely his bread and butter. The passive allows us to shred enemies Defense, as long as they aren't immune to Marks or Debuffs.

The Blind can help you in a lot of scenarios. In Dragons until Stage 4, it can help to keep your team alive.

Having strong Defense and a high Defense Buff makes him an optimal support to bring into stages where you are bound to take a lot of damage.

Luke also has good base Health, which makes the FC more survivable.

Weaknesses

Like all Heroes who are using Debuffs, immunity against them almost negates the FC.

Because the Defense shred, as well as the Blind, are classified as Debuffs instead of Marks, way more areas will render them useless.

Other than that he has no particular weaknesses.

Conclusion

FC Luke is a great asset to have on your account and can help you in some of the more difficult content.

Being a fire tank in the endgame allows Luke to generate Mana insanely quickly, especially if you have FC Annie.

I found with the right team, he can use his skills very often, which can make a difference.

Unlike frost tanks, he can be played in far more offensive teams and still gain his Mana.

Heart Strike is an ability which once experienced, you don't want to give up anymore.

And that's already it.
