Az here, once again and today we are checking out Colin.
Let's get to it.
Skills
Passive:
Counter - Retaliates upon taking damage (only once per round)
S1: Deals 350% to a single target
Mana Cost: 3
S2: Deals 34% Damage to all enemies.
This is a Burst ability, increasing the Damage by roughly 15% per additional Mana.
Mana Cost: 0
Gear and Stats
My Colin has all Legendary gear besides his weapon, which is Fated.
I haven't leveled the top row past 40 and the bottom row is at Level 30.
Focus on getting his Attack speed and Crit Damage up.
PVP
He is not well suited for PVP. His overall kit doesn't provide anything useful besides an AoE. However it doesn't hit hard enough to be considered.
PVE
He is one, if not the strongest Breaker for Machine Element.
With his decent speed you will be able to go before most other enemies.
Especially in Ancient Gold Mine, he can help you constantly keeping the Enemies out of a fight. When I did my Special Difficulty Dungeon Series, I usually used him in his required dungeons, however he can work anywhere. Especially when paired with a Damage over time unit, he will shine.
Once you get strong enough to get into Path of Trials Chapter 3, he might come into play for you, but based on what we were seeing in chapter 2, you probably need to Element enhance him. The enemies will have at least 2 Mana stones, so having a fast AOE Machine breaker might be important for you.
0 Mana Ability Heroes
He is one of the 6 Heroes in the game having a 0 Mana ability and the only one with a Burst.
Wilkes and Carlos bring Damage over time, which make them the number 1 breakers in their respective element. They are on the slower side, which requires you to work around that.
Iden and Weiler are both similar to Colin, where Iden has the better Element to allow him to stack Mana quickly.
Cybele is the only Legendary in the 0 Mana category and a reviver at that.
Because we only have 4 revivers, she ranks up higher than she otherwise would.
Out of all these Heroes, I would put him at 3, ranking behind Cybele, where Carlos and Wilkes share the number 1 spot.
Conclusion
I think you should invest into him early on. Machine Day is pretty difficult, especially if you don't have Blue FC Baraka.
Having a Hero that can AoE break and deal some decent damage is really nice, because you are always on a timer.
I would even consider Unleashing Potential for him, since his multipliers increase to 51% and 525%. The most important is the Passive, which allows him to Gain Mana when he hits an opponent with above 70% HP. Paired with his Counter, this could quickly let him stack up Mana and allow him to deal Damage with his Burst.
All in all, I think he is a great Hero for your Account from very early on.
